Stephen A. Smith left visibly stunned after Molly Qerim accuses him of ‘big market bias’ and says ‘it’s not sexy enough’

MOLLY Qerim has called out Stephen A. Smith for being biased on First Take.

When Stephen A. called out Bill Belichick for joining UNC for a college football job, Qerim had enough of his antics.

Qerim attacked Stephen A., saying that he only wants the best people and players on large market teams.

“True football fans, this is going to be appointment viewing to see what Bill Belichick does,” Qerim said.

“Stephen A. is all about box office. He wants every free agent to go to the Lakers.

“He hates small markets, it’s just not sexy enough for him.”

Stephen A. was left stunned by the remarks from Qerim.

However, he wouldn’t let her get the last word and quickly tried to defend himself.

“Molly completely misrepresents me, that’s alright,” he said.

Qerim knew she was on to something though, and continued to press her point.

“Let me finish my point,” she said.

“For you it’s always box office. You’re a New Yorker that’s an Alabama fan, it’s just not sexy enough for you.

“But you’re seeing it through your lens, and not through all football fans’ [lens].

“I know you don’t care about my opinion, but other people [do].”

Qerim used the Colorado Buffaloes as an example for her argument.

She pointed out that the national media didn’t care much about the team before Sanders joined.

Then she asked Stephen A. how much he cared for the team before Sanders joined.

The only thing he could do was try to deflect the conversation to a different argument.

“That’s why I said I wanted [Sanders] in the SEC or the Big 10,” Stephen A. said.

“I didn’t watch them all the time. I watched them against stiff competition.”

Stephen A. and Qerim are two of the most stubborn TV personalities, so it is fun when they get into disputes on First Take.

However, Qerim was certainly in the right this time, coming to the defense of small-market teams that don’t get much love on First Take.
