A SWEET OREO TREAT
This isn’t the only cash that Americans can claim right now.
Mondelez International is a food and drink company behind Oreo and several other popular snacks and candy including Triscuit, Wheat Things, Toblerone, Sour Patch Kids, and more.
The company and the law firm that represents it, Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner, were accused in the suit of not having adequate cybersecurity measures to protect consumer details in a February 2023 data breach.
While Mondelez International and Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner haven’t admitted any wrongdoing in the case, each agreed to a $750,000 settlement to resolve the claims.
A deadline to file is set for February 10, 2025.
Individuals who qualify for a distribution from the settlement pot must’ve gotten a crucial notification from Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner, Mondelez International, and Chicago IVF.
The notice would’ve informed them that their personal information was or could’ve been compromised in the February 2023 breach.
Those who didn’t get the notice will not be able to get money.
There are no other eligibility requirements.
