Two years into his love story with Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce is shedding more light than ever on their romance and even the pop superstar’s similarities to his beloved mom.
The 35-year-old Kansas City Chiefs tight end, who appears on next month’s cover issue of British GQ, told the outlet that he’s thrilled to be the Grammy winner’s “plus one.”.
“I get to go and be that fan. Because I am a fan. … And it’s so cool that I get to experience her being that plus one for me on the football field,” said the two-time Super Bowl champ. “I sort of made her a football fan. She is the most engulfed fan now … because she just naturally loves to hear about my job.”

Prior to dating the “So High School” crooner, 35, Kelce “hadn’t experienced somebody in the same shoes as me, having a partner who understands the scrutiny, the ups and downs of being in front of millions.”
Despite their celebrity, the “New Heights” podcaster said being with Swift makes him feel “like we’re just regular people.

“When there is not a camera on us, we’re just two people that are in love. It can be perceived as something else because of how much it is talked about and how much we are tracked whenever we do go out, but I would say that it’s as normal of… it happened very organically,” he continued, denying speculation their romance is — or started out as — a PR stunt. “Nothing I’ve ever done has been a controlled, organized process.”
Swift also shares many characteristics with Kelce’s mom, Donna, such as “their kindness, their genuineness, their ability to say hello to everyone in a room.”
Both women share an “ability to show love and support no matter what. And on top of that, their work ethic.”
Kelce, whose parents divorced when he was in college, said he hopes to go into a marriage with the idea of making it “last forever,” romance included: “Not just in a ‘It’s just for the kids’ aspect.”
The remarks were published just hours after Swift announced her upcoming 12th studio album in a clip from her hotly anticipated debut on “New Heights,” dropping Wednesday.
