If theme parks are you thing, Six Flags over Georgia is pretty decent. As for places to stay: stay near the aquarium, say the the Hyatt Regency Atlanta. It’s a 10 minute walk to the aquarium. 5 minute walk to the subway and you have an iconic rotating restaurant on the top, Polaris, that just reopened.
