Comedian Chloe Fineman wants everyone to know that she’s “not nobody” after getting into a kerfuffle with a Madison Avenue restaurant staffer over speaking to Demi Moore.
The “Saturday Night Live” star took to social media to reveal details about a run-in with a “rude” restaurant manager who berated her for speaking to actress Demi Moore and her dog Pilaf while dining.
On a TikTok video titled “Chaotic Story Time,” Fineman set the scene of having “the best day” while out and about with her sister Emma on the Upper East Side. They ended up at the Madison Avenue Italian restaurant, Sant Ambroeus — which she described as being located in a “food desert.”
Shortly after being seated, the Finemans spotted the recent Oscar nominee seated nearby with her dog.
“There’s several empty tables and I sit down, and then I look up and it’s Pilaf little mouse, the celebrity dog of Demi Moore,” Fineman recounted. “And I see Demi Moore and I was like, ‘Oh, hi!’ We’ve met once or twice and I’ve held Pilaf because Pilaf was backstage at an SNL show.”
Emma added: “She fully said hi back also,” noting it was not an interaction that wasn’t welcomed.
But before the banter could continue, the mood was dampened by the head of the eatery.

“The manager sees me,” Fineman explained. “I don’t know, maybe I had no makeup on — did I not look legitimate enough for this empty room of Sant Ambroeus? And the guy’s like, ‘What are you doing here! Ma’am, come, come with me.’ And I guess I didn’t realize you had to talk to another Italian guy to get a seat even though there’s like a thousand empty tables. It was very confusing.”
The 36-year-old funnywoman said the situation quickly escalated.
She recalled: “I was like, ‘Calm down. I’m not nobody. I’m on SNL.’ He was like, ‘I don’t care who you are. I treat everybody the same.’ And I was like, ‘You’re being rude,’ and he’s like, ‘You’re being rude!’ Anyway I don’t want to get into details, but let’s just say a personality of mine started to come up that I don’t love. I took myself out of the situation.”
“You could call it a Karen [moment],” Fineman added. “I also call it living in New York and everyone is rude as f–k.”
