The fast-food joint recently took to social media, revealing the McRib was coming back to town for the holidays.
The saucy sandwich comes with a pork rib patty, tangy BBQ sauce, pickles, and onions for a savory treat.
Excited by the announcement, Tariq Hassan, Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer at McDonald’s said: “The McRib is more than a sandwich – it’s a part of culture, it’s a legend, it’s an event.
“McRib SZN is a holiday unto itself, so we wanted to embrace that spirit and give fans an even bigger way to celebrate this year with A Whole Lotta McRib Sauce.”
If you’re a diehard fan of the burger, especially its BBQ sauce, then we have good news for you.
McDonald’s is now releasing jugs of the BBQ sauce so you can have it at home and pair it with any meal you like.
The sauce will cost $19.99 for a jug and will launch on November 25 on the store wholelottamcribsauce.
They say the sauce, available in half-gallon containers, is perfect for holiday parties, festive recipes, or the ultimate stocking stuffer for McRib lovers.
While the sauce will be available to buy in just three days, the burger will make it’s way to stores and drive-thrus on December 3.
The news has gone viral on social media, but it seems users are conflicted by the new release.
While many are excited the McRib is back, others are begging for the Chicken Legend.
One person wrote: “We want chicken legend!!!”
Another commented: “You will see me there in a heartbeat. love you Maccas.”
“We are so back,” penned a third.
How to save at McDonald’s
You could end up being charged more for a McDonald’s meal based solely on the McDonald’s restaurant you choose.
Research by The Sun found a Big Mac meal can be up to 30% cheaper at restaurants just two miles apart from each other.
You can pick up a Big Mac and fries for just £2.99 at any time by filling in a feedback survey found on McDonald’s receipts.
The receipt should come with a 12-digit code which you can enter into the Food for Thought website alongside your submitted survey.
You’ll then receive a five-digit code which is your voucher for the £2.99 offer.
There are some deals and offers you can only get if you have the My McDonald’s app, so it’s worth signing up to get money off your meals.
The MyMcDonald’s app can be downloaded on iPhone and Android phones and is quick to set up.
You can also bag freebies and discounts on your birthday if you’re a My McDonald’s app user.
The chain has recently sent out reminders to app users to fill out their birthday details – otherwise they could miss out on birthday treats.
Meanwhile, a fourth said: “Still not as good as the godly Spicy Chicken legend.”
“It’s a sad reflection of my life that I’m feverishly anticipating this,” claimed a fifth.
Someone else added: “Bring back chicken selects.”
