I am new to yoga and have loved learning from Lisa at the localYoga studio. Lisa is warm and fun and her enthusiasm for yoga is contagious. She explains the purpose and philosophy of each pose and is very knowledgeable and thorough. The studio’s class offerings are diverse and the other students are fun and easy going.

I’ve done yoga before. I’ve done gym yoga. I’ve done yoga videos. I’ve even done big box yoga while visiting other cities. I’ve never enjoyed a class more than I have at Local Yoga. The studio is clean, organized, relaxing and always smells good. (I know, weird to point out, unless you’ve been to a studio that DOES NOT smell good. It is hard to pranayama when you are in a stinky room!) You can tell that the owners wanted you to feel comfortable and create a space that is about much more than exercise. I have always felt like each class was taught with ease and safety. It is important to each of the instructors I have met to transition well from each pose to the next. Care is always taken to make sure that your neck, back, and legs are prepared for each pose. Yoga injuries can be so serious, and I have always felt protected by the instructors. I also enjoy the variety of classes offered at localYoga. From Beginning classes to Power, they have covered everything in between. They have a variety of levels taught, and also very accessible times. They have also been VERY accommodating to me personally to fit my busy schedule. Lastly, I want to mention the instructors. They are varied and unique, each one bringing a positive energy to their classes. They are all well trained and do an excellent job with the flow and time management of their classes. I cannot say enough nice things about this studio. Five stars from this Murray Mom.
