Harry Potter Star’s Mixed Experience on OnlyFans

Jessie Cave, an actress who is best known for her role as Lavender Brown from the Harry Potter series, made headlines earlier this year when she announced that she was joining OnlyFans. And now she’s opened up about what her experience on the subscription-based platform has been like.

When Cave announced her decision, she was very clear that she would not be doing any X-rated content, instead focusing on “niche” photos and videos of her hair. But that hasn’t stopped OnlyFans users from sending her request after request for “gross” and “nasty” content.

Cave, who created the account back in March to try to pay off debt and fix up her house, shared more about the messages in a recent Substack post.

Cave wrote: “It’s gotten a little nasty. I feel a little gross, a little scared. I am receiving too many lurid messages and don’t like being sent unsolicited d***s. No matter how many times I say I am not doing sexual content, I get a message within two seconds asking to see c*m in my hair or if I would just please f***ing consider full frontal.”

While Cave has stuck by her decision to not keep her clothes on for all content, she does admit that she has been “swayed and pressured by certain messages.” For example, one fan messaged her and asked her to “spank myself with my plaits” and she did try. She tasked her husband with helping her, but it didn’t work out.

In the same Substack, she shared: “I tried to get a video of A holding my plaits and gently spanking my back with them but I laughed too much. I plaited my hair in red lace gloves and did a video of me trying to do plaits with handcuffs on (my kids got the handcuffs at a magic shop).”

It seems that she has been able to make much of the money that she wanted by joining the platform, though she’s worried that she has “become dependent” on the money coming in from OnlyFans. She also shared that she has “a sense of shame” for creating an account on OnlyFans to try to make ends meet, writing: “It’s proof of my failure to make (or rather, keep hold of) money as an actress and writer. I’ve got nothing to show for 18 years of work in the arts industry. I’ve rented for 18 years and drained all my money on that and self-funding my YouTube videos or Edinburgh shows.”

Yet she feels compelled to keep going, despite dreading logging in to the site to talk to her subscribers.

“I dread the evenings because I know I have to message rather than zone out watching TV. I’ve stopped reading because I feel like it’s not using my time efficiently: any spare moment when I’m not with the kids I should be making money and keeping my fans subscribed. I’m on a content treadmill and I can’t get off, send help.”

Hopefully the Harry Potter star will be able to slow down soon and learn to enjoy creating content. Otherwise, her time on the platform may end sooner than she’d like.
