Former Tory minister Andrea Jenkyns joins Reform UK as party’s candidate for new mayor post months after losing seat

A FORMER Tory minister has joined Reform UK after losing her seat.

Nigel Farage announced that Dame Andrea Jenkyns has been selected to stand as the party’s candidate for a newly created post of Mayor of Greater Lincolnshire.

Previously elected to parliament in 2015, Dame Andrea famously gained the seat of shadow chancellor Ed Balls of Morley and Outwood.

Taking to the stage, she told press and party members that she is “joining the party of the brace” while “our once great country is at a crisis point”.
