According to Downdetector, users started having issues with the sites at about 9:30 am EST.
At its peak, over 1,700 users reported outrages on E-Trade, and over 700 couldn’t access Fidelity accounts.
The blackout came hours after Wall Street opened to a flood of excited traders betting on what the new world would look like under Trump’s leadership.
In usual fashion, the markets saw a slump before the election as investors waited with bated breath to see where the federal government would turn.
Now with Republicans taking the White House and the Senate, traders are making a historic return to the market.
