Dr. Jennifer Furman, MS, RD, LDN
Category: Nutritionists
I chose to become a dietitian because I am fascinated by the physiological function of food in the body. Just by changing what and how you eat can affect your health, mind and appearance. Having a family history of obesity and diabetes, I decided I was not going down that path. I chose to engage in a healthy lifestyle and encourage others to do the same. It is a privilege to be able to do this as a career. When it comes to my approach with patients, I try to keep it simple and encourage sustainable lifestyle or dietary changes. Making the smallest of changes can often make the biggest difference. I like to stay physically active outside of work. I do various types of exercise, such as high intensity interval training, strength training and running. My husband and I also love to hike, so we try to go to the mountains as often as possible.
