Dollar General promises to investigate multiple stores with unused checkouts as fan scream chain is ‘worse than ever’

DOLLAR General has promised an investigation into a customer complaint about the messiness of their stores.

The disgruntled shopper took to X to voice their anger over how all of the Dollar Generals in their area of Kokomo, Indiana, are understaffed and littered with unopened boxes.

The post from January 7 reads: “Literally have 6 plus Dollar generals in my town.

“And every single one is understaffed and full of unopened boxes.

“To the point where you can’t even walk down the aisles.

“The one I used to go to was remodeled and now it’s worse than ever.”

The rant is accompanied by a picture of a Dollar General aisle completely blocked by massive boxes and trolleys, so you can’t get down there.

Other frustrated Dollar General customers used the opportunity to air their grievances.

One person commented: “They added three self checkouts that they always keep off because there is only ever one person in the store at any given time.

“They have to lock up when they use the bathroom and close early all the time.

“It’s sick they let this work environment fly.”

Dollar General replied to the original accusation, writing: “We appreciate you bringing this to our attention.

“Could you please share the exact store location where this photo was taken?”

It is unclear if Dollar General did anything else to respond to the complaint.

PEST CONTROL

Dollar General has also recently been attacked over a bug infestation that had gone unsolved.

One user shared gross pictures of items in a Kentucky store covered in flies and mold.

In one of the photos, an opened can of Red Bull and a tub of disinfectant wipes were covered in fruit flies.

Other images showed moldy tomatoes and strawberries and a large pile of rubbish left on the store’s floor.

The poster took to X with the snaps, branding the shop “nasty”.
