Christmas ribbon is flying off Dollar Tree shelves for just $1.25 – it’s identical to Target but over 85% cheaper

SHOPPERS are rushing to Dollar Tree to pick up Christmas ribbon for 85% cheaper than Target.

Now that Thanksgiving is behind us, many of us will be in full festive mode, racing around to grab presents for our nearest dearest.

And what better way to make sure your presents look their best than by wrapping them up with Christmas ribbon.

Dollar Tree’s Red and Gold Christmas Ribbon is just $1.25 for a three yard role.

That makes it 85% cheaper than Target‘s Christmas ribbon, which is priced at $10.

It comes in a variety of different designs including a star pattern and leaf design and can be shipped to your home in 7-10 days.

A description reads: “Gorgeous red and gold fabric ribbon has wired edges for easy shaping and bow making!

“Great for decorating, gift wrapping, and craft/floral projects.

“These ribbons come assorted among the five designs shown, and each roll is 3-yd. or 108-in. long.”

Shoppers flooded the Dollar Tree review section to share their love for the ribbon.

One person said: “The red, gold, & white Christmas wired ribbon is gorgeous.

“I especially love the red with gold poinsettia pattern ribbon and the white with gold poinsettia pattern ribbon.

“Those two ribbons are quite stunning and sophisticated looking.

“I am making lots of Christmas ribbon wreaths for Christmas 2023 and am loving this quality ribbon!”

A second person said: “I am in the process of making a Christmas wreath using this ribbon.

“It is great to work with and to manipulate for bows.

Dollar Tree pricing

Despite the name of the store, Dollar Tree recently added items that cost more than $1 to its inventory.

Most items at the store cost no more than $1.25, but items in the Dollar Tree Plus section cost up to $5.

Dollar Tree introduced Plus aisles to 100 locations in 2019 as part of an effort to diversify its products.

By 2022, Dollar Tree had added the items to over 1,500 locations.

“We believe testing additional price points above $1 for Dollar Tree products will enable us over time to expand our assortments, introduce new products and meet more of our customers’ everyday needs,” president and CEO Michael Witynski said in a statement.

“Our brand promise is that customers get great value for what they spend at Dollar Tree. We will continue to be fiercely protective of that promise, regardless of the price point.”
