Four teenagers were shot on the West Side when a person fired into a group of people standing outside Sunday night, with one teen in critical condition.
The Chicago Police Department responded to a call of multiple people shot around 11:30 p.m., police say. A preliminary investigation by police found that an unknown male produced a firearm and shot into a crowd after he and another unknown male got into a verbal altercation.
Four teenagers were injured, most severe being a 14-year-old male who sustained a gunshot wound to the chest and is listed in critical condition, according to police.
The three other teenagers include a 15-year-old female sustained a gunshot wound to the right leg and is listed in good condition, a 16-year-old female sustained multiple gunshot wounds about the body and is listed in fair condition, and a 13-year-old male sustained a gunshot wound to the right thigh and is listed in fair condition.
No one is in custody, and Area Four Detectives are investigating, according to police.
