Baptist Health South Florida kicked off the new year with a heartwarming milestone as its first baby of 2025 was born just minutes after midnight.
Aitana, a healthy baby girl, arrived at 12:14 a.m. at Baptist Health Baptist Hospital.
Hospital staff said she weighed 7 pounds, 4 ounces, and measured 20 inches long.
Her proud parents, joined by hospital staff, celebrated the joyous occasion, marking the first birth at the hospital in the new year.

Broward Health Medial Center also celebrated the arrival of its first baby of the New Year early Wednsday morning.
Hospital staff said Angel Velazquez Martinez, a baby boy weighing 4 pounds, 15 ounces, was born at Broward Health Medical Center at 2:11 a.m. on Wednesday.
The newborn is the second child of proud parents Luz Martinez Arellano and Gerardo Velazquez Camacho, who expressed excitement and joy at welcoming Angel into their family.
