Shoppers beg Dollar Tree to stop ‘rushing the holidays’ as chain nearly sells out of Easter items days after Christmas

DOLLAR Tree is on the top of its holiday game, already stocking its aisles with affordable Valentine’s Day and Easter goodies.

Shoppers, however, are begging the chain to slow down on the holiday merchandise after it already nearly sold out.

With Christmas in the rearview mirror, retailers such as Dollar Tree are racing to capitalize on the next holiday.

Fans of the discount chain have already spotted its shelves stocked with festive finds.

One Dollar Tree customer on Facebook shared pictures of the holiday merchandise available at her store.

She walked in to see shelves filled with both Valentine’s Day and Easter items.

The shelves were adorned with pink and red merchandise for Valentine’s Day such as chocolates, Valentine-themed paint sets, window decorations, cups, and pencils.

The Dollar Tree shopper also shared an image of the chain’s Easter assortment, including garlands, signs, ribbons, and decorations.

Many Facebook users were shocked the discount retailer was already stocked up for Easter, considering it’s still more than 100 days away.

“We might as well just have Christmas again damn,” wrote one customer.

“They really be rushing the holidays,” blasted another shopper.

“It’s early geesh but ok,” said a third.

The original poster agreed with the sentiments in the comment section, claiming that while selling Valentine’s Day items “made sense,” stocking up for Easter was “crazy.”

But while some shoppers felt as if Dollar Tree had jumped the gun by selling Easter merchandise, others were racing to get their hands on the goods ahead of the April holiday.

One Dollar Tree shopper even complained that her local store’s Valentine’s Day and Easter sections were “almost empty.”

HOLIDAY HOURS

As Dollar Tree braces itself for holidays months down the line, the discount chain is also preparing for the holiday just hours away – New Year’s Day.

The retailer will be open but with reduced hours on both December 31, 2024 and January 1, 2025.

Dollar Tree stores typically operate from 8 AM until 9 or 10 PM but may shutter earlier on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day to celebrate the holidays.

Shoppers should contact their local Dollar Tree to confirm its holiday hours.

Christmas Day is the only holiday during which the discount chain closes all its locations.

Both Walmart and Target have confirmed their store hours for New Year’s while others are closing shop for the day.

Plus, check whether or not popular banks will be open for the holiday.
