Ohad Fisherman, cousin to the Alexander brothers who are facing sexual assault and sex trafficking charges, is set to surrender to Miami-Dade authorities next week on a related charge.
Fisherman, who is currently in Japan on his honeymoon, will fly back to Miami on Monday and appear in court for arraignment at 9 a.m. the following day, a judge confirmed in Miami-Dade bond court Friday.
Fisherman is facing one count of sexual battery by multiple perpetrators in connection with a 2016 incident involving the three Alexander brothers, known for their ties to Miami Beach and New York’s luxury real estate market.
Miami-Dade prosecutors confirmed that a warrant for his arrest has been quashed, but warned it will be reissued if Fisherman fails to appear as planned.
Twin brothers Oren and Alon Alexander, along with their older brother Tal, are also facing both state and federal charges linked to an alleged pattern of sexual violence and trafficking that authorities said spanned more than a decade.
Oren and Alon Alexander appeared in a Miami-Dade courtroom Thursday wearing green anti-suicide vests, where they were denied bond by Judge Mindy Glazer. Prosecutors cited their access to private planes and yachts as evidence of a flight risk.
“This defendant has access to private planes, private boats; he is a flight risk,” prosecutor Natalie Snyder told the court. Glazer affirmed the decision, stating, “Because it is considered a dangerous crime, I am required to hold you with no bond.”
Tal Alexander remains in federal custody at the Federal Detention Center in Miami, while Oren and Alon returned to court Friday for further proceedings.
