DALLAS Cowboys icon Jimmy Johnson can’t see Deion Sanders becoming the team’s new head coach.
Hall of Famer Sanders, 57, has been linked with taking over at the struggling franchise.

Current head coach Mike McCarthy is out of contract after this season and the team has a 4-7 record.
Owner Jerry Jones has resisted calls to fire McCarthy but has faced public pressure to appoint Sanders.
Sanders played four years in Dallas and was on the last Cowboys team to win a Super Bowl in the 1995 season.
But Johnson, 81, won two Super Bowls as their coach in the 1990s as well.
The Fox NFL Sunday show star appeared on FS1 program The Facility this week.
He was talking to LeSean McCoy and Emmanuel Acho about Sanders potentially moving to Dallas.
And he declared, “No, I don’t think that happens.
“I love Deion but his strength is bringing in talent.
“He has got an outstanding coaching staff, which is one reason why they’ve gotten where they are.
“But I don’t see it happening there in Dallas.”
Johnson added, “He can bring out the best in the talent he’s got, and that’s part of it.”
Sanders was asked about potentially leaving the Colorado Buffaloes for an NFL head coach job.
“I am happy where I am, man,” he insisted.
“I’m good. I got a kickstand down.
“That means I’m resting, I’m good, I’m happy. I love it here, truly do.”
‘Match made in heaven’

Deion Sanders becoming head coach of the Dallas Cowboys is a match made in heaven.
It’s been 30 years now since the Cowboys last won a Super Bowl and something has to change.
This is “America’s Team,” but it has become a laughing stock and needs someone to restore them to their past glory.
That candidate who takes over from Mike McCarthy at head coach must have some magic and inspiration.
Step forward, Deion Sanders.
Sanders, 57, is one of the best players to have ever stepped on the field and was on Dallas’ team the last time they won a Super Bowl.
He is quite literally ‘Prime Time’ and that spark is exactly what the Cowboys need.
As for Deion, now is the perfect time for him to move on as well.
He has taken the Buffaloes to new heights both in terms of results and popularity.
His son, Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders, is also in his senior year in college.
Sanders could probably land a head coaching job on a legitimate national championship contender if he wants to stay in college.
But a chance to coach the Dallas Cowboys may not come calling again.
Cowboys owner Jones this week claimed that McCarthy could still be in line for a contract extension.
“I don’t think that’s crazy at all,” Jones said on 105.3 The Face on Tuesday.
“This is a Super Bowl-winning coach.
“Mike McCarthy has been there and done that. He has great ideas.
“We got a lot of football left.”
