Reading through, everyone seems to give high marks for quality. I typically have no problem paying for quality and craftsmanship, but the pricing was just insane in my eyes. Asked to have my oxford dress shoes resoled and was quoted a price nearly as much as the original shoes cost. Quality may be great, but i guess you have to reserve it for only the finest of shoes.

First off, what a sweet son to write such an endearing review for his father. I only hope that my children will love me this much when they are grown! Second of all, I can’t say enough about SF Boot and Shoe Repair on Fillmore and Jackson. The owner has been there for years, and though his prices seemed a little high to me at first, his quality and workmanship are well worth every penny. He is also a very good person who has always treated my family (including hyper-active kids after a hot cocoa from Bittersweet) very kindly – even offering his family recipes to me and treats for the children. His prices seemed a little high to me and after he saw my concern, he offered to eat the cost of the repair – and what an incredible job it was! The soles of my shoes looked even better than when they were first purchased. Unfortunately, I stopped my everyday heel habit and traded in my Dolces for Danskos (yikes!) but when I am chic again, I shall return to his shop and be his loyal patron!
