Series 1 upper deck is the standard set. Complete the base set pretty easily and collect some good rookies with the Young Guns subset. The inserts this year are pretty nice. See if your local card store has trade nights. Some people like MVP for kids because it’s cheaper, but in my opinion it’s not cheap enough to play that role.
