Every great journey begins with a challenge. The story of the Trushkovskyi brothers, Tymur and Andrey, is one of resilience, self-belief and hard work that transformed their lives.

Born into a modest family in Ukraine, their father worked long hours as a driver, often sacrificing time with his children to provide stability. Their mother, a store clerk, instilled in them the values of respect and care for others over material wealth. These principles shaped the brothers’ character and guided their path.

In their youth, the Trushkovskyi brothers believed wealth was a privilege reserved for the few and often associated with dishonesty. Over time, they realized success is built on personal responsibility, calculated risk-taking and dedication.

Everything changed in 2020 when the COVID-19 pandemic turned their world upside down. Tymur, who managed a nightclub, suddenly found himself without income. In an attempt to adapt, he invested the last of his savings into an auto repair shop, but the business struggled due to inconsistent demand. At a turning point, Andrey, already an entrepreneur and cofounder of a trading school, encouraged Tymur to explore financial markets.

Starting from scratch, Tymur immersed himself in learning, completing courses, reading books and practicing on demo accounts. Mistakes and losses were part of his journey, but his determination remained unwavering. Tymur realized that trading wasn’t just a way to earn money — for him, it was a path to financial independence. Keeping a trading journal helped him analyze mistakes, build confidence and develop discipline.

In 2022, the brothers’ lives were disrupted again as war broke out in Ukraine, and they made the difficult decision to relocate to the U.S. under the “United for Ukraine” program. Arriving with modest savings and a deep belief in new opportunities, they faced immediate challenges: high rent, no credit history, language barriers and financial pressures.

Determined to succeed, they educated themselves on the American financial system, learning about taxes, credit and business operations. Tymur earned certifications as an investment advisor and financial planner from the Institute of Corporate Finance, turning his newfound expertise into a mission to help others. Meanwhile, Andrey expanded his trading knowledge and created a financial management app. Through social media, he showcased his trading results. His creativity and charisma gained him attention, even appearing on TikTok holding a sign that read, “I know when to buy and sell Bitcoin.”

The challenges they faced, from Ukraine’s 2004 revolution to the financial crisis of 2008 and the political uprisings of 2013-2014, taught them to adapt and persist. Leaving Ukraine was another leap of faith for them, but they embraced the risks, knowing it was their chance to build a better future.

Today, the Trushkovskyi brothers continue to grow and develop. They invest in the stock market and plan to launch their own business. Their story, however, goes beyond personal success. They are committed to making a difference by offering free financial education to Ukrainian soldiers who lost limbs and to children orphaned by the war. One of their students, a soldier who lost his leg, shared, “If I had known this earlier, I could have built a different life.” This feedback reinforces their mission to empower others through financial literacy.

For Tymur, the birth of his son brought a new perspective on success. His goals now extend beyond financial freedom to raising a self-sufficient and confident individual who can make informed decisions about his future.

Looking ahead, Tymur has set his sights on participating in the prestigious Robbins Cup, an international trading competition that requires advanced skills, strategic thinking and discipline. This goal reflects his commitment to continuous growth and achieving excellence on a global scale.

The Trushkovskyi brothers believe that anyone, regardless of their circumstances, can transform their life by taking responsibility and moving forward, one step at a time. Their advice is simple yet profound: start small, reflect on your decisions and create a clear action plan. Even the smallest progress matters, they say.

“You haven’t lost until you quit,” Andrey often says. Their journey proves that self-belief, discipline, and persistence can help in overcoming challenges and create a better future for oneself and others.
