NFL fans are convinced they already know which teams will be making it out of the playoffs and into the Super Bowl.
We might still be four weeks away from the main event but a conspiracy theory about the teams making it to the big show have been circulating for nearly a year.
Fans are convinced the Super Bowl LIX logo has clues about which teams will make it to the game – and win
Just hours after the Kansas City Chiefs defended their crown last year – and made it three wins in the last five years – the NFL released the new logo for the 2025 Super Bowl.
It was bad news for the rest of the league.
The logo, designed by local New Orleans artist Queen Tahj, featured prominent red – Kansas City’s colours.
Fans immediately called it ‘rigged’ and ‘scripted’ and the Chiefs’ brilliant play this season, where they ended with a 15-2 record, hasn’t done anything to doubt those voices.
Andy Reid was able to sit his starters in Week 18 meaning Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and Co will have had two full weeks of rest by the time they play at home in the Divisional round.
They will play the winner of the Houston Texans and Los Angeles Chargers.
But the conspiracy goes even deeper, with the hand-embroidered logo also containing green.
Fans have also been pointing to the Philadelphia Eagles, who had a similarly brilliant season going 14-3, although they couldn’t quite take the top seed in the NFC.
That would mean a repeat of Super Bowl LVII – one of the best games in recent times when Kansas City beat Philadelphia 38-35.
At the time the logo was released, NFL fans were convinced the Chiefs would win a third straight.
One wrote: “Chiefs are locked in for 2025 Mahomes becomes the first QB to threepeat in the Super Bowl era.”
Another added: “So KC again!?”
While one said: “Oh god Chiefs colors, f***ing great.”
Almost a year later and the past season has only convinced more fans.
One wrote on X: “That Super Bowl logo is nice. You think that it being Chiefs colors is a coincidence? I think NOT!”
Said another: “Per nfl lore, looks like it’s eagles v chiefs in the Super Bowl based on logo colors.”
One more wrote: “It’s going to be the Chiefs. Just look at the Super Bowl logo.”

Designer Queen Tahj, real name Tahj Williams, described the logo as “a love letter to New Orleans.”
The design follows an old masking custom called Black Indian masking, that is “rooted in the historical connections between African and Native American heritage in New Orleans,” according to Nola.com.
Maskers produce featured suits and elaborate headwear for the Mardi Gras festival and parade.
When the design was first revealed, Williams wrote on Instagram: “There aren’t too many things in this world that can make me decide not to continue sewing on my new suit for 2024.
“With that being said, I present to you Super Bowl Logo LIX.
“This is the first time in history the NFL has collaborated with an artist outside of its organization for the Super Bowl logo design.
“I express extreme gratitude to my City for always backing me.
“And I promise to carry New Orleans with me wherever I go.”
