HGTV’s Tarek El Moussa was cited for battery after being involved in a physical altercation in Vegas last Thursday.
The “Flip or Flop” alum allegedly delivered a brutal knee to a man’s head while stepping in to defend his father during a family outing to the Palazzo at the Venetian Resort.
Witnesses on the scene told TMZ that the incident was “bad,” as Moussa knocked the man out cold. It’s unclear what started the fight, but sources say the situation escalated swiftly.
Sources also says the man allegedly got out of line with Moussa’s father, who is elderly, and the reality star got physical because he was “protecting” him.
When police arrived, they took a crime report and cited Moussa for battery, but the real estate investor wasn’t arrested for the scuffle. The victim refused medical attention.
Moussa’s wife, Heather Rae Young, was with him at the time alongside several other of his family members, who are seen all smiles in an Instagram post of the trip.
“Not our average Vegas trip… ,” Young captioned the post. “Watched Tarek do his thing on stage (so proud!) and made it extra special by bringing our parents along for the ride.”
“We got to show them a glimpse behind the scenes — our world, our work, and of course, the glam. Grateful for these moments that we get to spend together.”
Young didn’t mention the alteration in the post and Moussa has not commented on the incident.
