Muir Woods National Monument is located around 16 miles north of San Francisco. The entire trip will take approximately 45 minutes. It’s one of the few left old-growth coastal redwood forests in the state. Here, you will have several miles of hiking trails, cutting through canopies of majestic redwood trees, and fern-filled riverbanks.
