Target shares ‘disappointment’ after shopper ‘waits 20 minutes’ for order – ‘cars that arrived later were served first’

A TARGET shopper has blasted the chain after encountering problems when trying to collect her online order.

The customer was less than impressed by her experience using the retailer’s curbside pickup service.

Target customers can place orders online and collect them from their local store without leaving their car.

A shopper claimed the store’s Drive-Up service was understaffed and said they had been waiting for 20 minutes.

“7 cars came after me, got the stuff, and left, but I’ve not been helped,” they said on X.

“This is not good.”

The customer then claimed it would be easier to buy their items in-store than to use the collection service.

A Target spokesperson responded and issued a groveling apology.

“It’s disappointing to hear you’ve been waiting for over 20 minutes for your order to be brought out,” they said.

The representative for the company invited the shopper to send their email address so they could launch an investigation.

It’s unclear if there was ever an investigation.

Target’s drive-up service allows shoppers to order items and collect them within a two-hour timeframe.

Drivers must download the Target app and they can notify a worker when they have arrived at the store.

Target shoppers do not have to leave their cars when they arrive.

And, all they have to do is show their order details and barcode when receiving their order.

If they don’t have the barcode to hand, then they must show a form of ID.

This can be anything ranging from a driver’s license to a green card and passport.

Another perk of the chain’s service is that customers can order a Starbucks while shopping.

The pickup service can also be used to return unwanted items.

However, shoppers have not been shy about voicing their concerns.

The U.S. Sun reported how a furious shopper was left waiting 30 minutes to pick up her items.

Another customer branded the tool a “waste of time” after waiting an hour, according to a post on X.

Over the holidays, shoppers recalled how they were met with delays when trying to collect Christmas presents.
